- Why do Bitcoin prices differ by exchange?
- Each exchange has its own order book. A gap of a few dollars between Coinbase, Kraken, and Binance is normal. Trading fees, card fees, and withdrawal costs often matter more than that gap.
- What does USDT≈USD mean on a Bitcoin price?
- That row is a Bitcoin/Tether market, not a direct dollar market. The dollar figure is an approximation. Stablecoins can trade slightly above or below $1.
- How often is the Bitcoin exchange rate updated?
- About every 45 seconds, from public exchange tickers plus a CoinGecko reference spot. If a venue does not respond, it is left off the table until the next successful fetch.
